It was less than a hundred years ago that women world-wide were just beginning to persuade men, (and perhaps even themselves), that they were more than merely a domestic commodity, a piece of property, and a birthing machine. But rather that they should have rights over their own bodies, that they should be able to vote, hold office, and own property.

I had planned to write the evening of the fall equinox, I found myself stuck and processing a wide range of emotions. With the help of meditation, personal reflection, and insight from my mentor and coach Crystal Andrus, I have been able to finish this post. I was alternating between stuck in thought and overwhelmed with emotions. Until the evening of September 28, I just noted "draft."
